A Message to Humanitarians Everywhere

I’ve just seen a video captioned body identification in #Kahrizak #Tehran. It was too horrific to share. Yet it must be said: the Islamic Republic deliberately uses inhuman methods to broadcast fear.

A regime ruling nearly 90 million people has committed such acts for almost fifty years. We did what we could, but we were left almost alone.

To my friends who care about human rights anywhere in the world:
what makes Iran and Iranians an exception, met with silence instead of solidarity?

We Iranians have always been among the first to speak out against injustice, wherever it occurs.
Why are we set aside?

Iran loves the world.
I urge the world to care for Iran.
